1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to the use of the eu-lex-enhanced platform ("platform"), operated by QDC GmbH, Aarau, Switzerland ("provider"). By registering and using the platform you accept these GTC.

2. Description of services

The platform provides access to regulatory content on medical devices (EU MDR/IVDR). Certain content and features (in particular the "News Room") are only accessible under a paid subscription.

3. Registration and account

Registration is required to use the platform. You must provide truthful information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Subscription and payment terms

Paid subscriptions are handled via the payment provider Stripe. Price and billing interval are shown before purchase. Payment is made in advance for the respective billing period.

The subscription renews automatically for the agreed term unless cancelled before the end of the current period.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time via the customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the already-paid billing period. If you delete your account, the subscription ends immediately. No (pro-rata) refund of the current billing period is given.

6. Right of withdrawal

As this concerns digital content not supplied on a physical medium, you agree that performance begins immediately upon conclusion of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance is complete.

7. Liability

The platform's content serves information purposes only and does not constitute legal or regulatory advice. The provider is not liable for damage arising from the use or non-use of the information, to the extent permitted by law.

8. Intellectual property

All platform content is protected by copyright. Reproduction, distribution or other use requires the provider's prior written consent.

9. Data protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our privacy policy and in compliance with the FADP and the GDPR. Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to the GTC

The provider reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. Registered users are informed of material changes. Continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is the provider's registered office in Switzerland.
